Waiting on Wednesday (27)

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly event hosted by Breaking the Spine.

Isla and the Happily Ever After by Stephanie Perkins
From Goodreads:
From the glittering streets of Manhattan to the moonlit rooftops of Paris, falling in love is easy for hopeless dreamer Isla and introspective artist Josh. But as they begin their senior year in France, Isla and Josh are quickly forced to confront the heartbreaking reality that happily-ever-afters aren’t always forever.

Their romantic journey is skillfully intertwined with those of beloved couples Anna and √Čtienne and Lola and Cricket, whose paths are destined to collide in a sweeping finale certain to please fans old and new.

This is a book that I'm sure most of you guys are waiting on, too. (Unless you haven't read ANNA and LOLA yet, in which need to fix that immediately!) This is also a book that has had quite a few changes with the release date. The release date kept getting pushed back, and Stephanie Perkins told her readers that she was having a difficult time writing Isla and the Happily Ever After. I respect Stephanie Perkins so much and I think she's really brave for sharing such personal parts of her life with her readers. I don't mind waiting for this book. I'll wait as long as it takes for her to feel like she's ready to publish the book.

But when it does get published, I'll be standing in line at the bookstore at the crack of dawn, waiting for it to open so I can get my hands on a copy. :)

What are you waiting on this week? Leave links to your WoW posts below so I can check them out!

  1. I'll be standing in line too! Can't wait to see what Stephanie Perkins does with Isla and Josh - both of who have been my favourite secondary characters in Anna & Lola. It'll be nice to see them in the spotlight this time!

  2. I STILL haven't gotten around to reading anything by Stephanie Perkins, but I've heard a lot about her so hopefully I'll get around to it soon. :)

    My WoW:

  3. I have not yet read Anna and the French Kiss. I do need to fix that.... these books sure do sound like a lot of fun. :) Thanks for sharing!

  4. I have not read either of the authors previous books yet, I really need to! I love the cover! : )

  5. I haven't read her books yet but have heard so many positive things! I like this cover a lot more than the covers for the other too, which struck me as kind of silly.

Thanks for stopping by my blog and commenting! :)

  6. I still need to read Lola (about time, right?) but I can't wait for this one either!

  7. Haven't read it but I'm a new Bloglovin' follower! Hopefully you can come by my blog to check out the Blogger Spotlight Tour Interview and give me a follow as well!
