When I made the list of books to feature in this little series, I found that I have the most good covers that I want to share, so that's awesome! I like way more covers than I don't like, so good job designers/book publishing people!
The covers of How to Love and The Chaos of Stars are simple but gorgeous. I like that the focus is on the words instead of cluttering the covers with images. The colors are bright and beautiful, and these covers definitely stand out in a bookstore.
The words are definitely the main focus of the covers of The Infinite Moment of Us and The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight, but both of these covers also feature a couple. These books are both romances, so it's important to accurately depict the topic, but I like that the images of the couples are smaller and less important than the titles.
I'm not crazy about the couple on the cover of Meant to Be, but the beautiful colors more than make up for it. I mean, just look at that stunning rainbow! The Unspoken cover has beautiful, simple artwork. I really like the dark silhouettes against the bright background.
The cover of The Diviners appears pretty simple at first glance, but once you take a closer look, you see that there is so much intricate detail. It's stunning, especially in real life! The computer screen does not do this cover justice. The Fault in Our Stars has a very simple cover, which has become so iconic in the past few years. I now refer to that particular shade of blue as "tfios blue," and the color has become instantly recognizable as being the cover of The Fault in Our Stars.
I love that the cover of Daughter of Smoke and Bone is entirely black and white, except for the one pop of color. It's absolutely gorgeous. The cover of Shadow and Bone also has a great color scheme: the gray/black/white with a little pop of red. The fonts used for both of these titles are also really striking and artistic.
I'm usually not a huge fan of couples on covers (except when they're tiny details like some of the above covers), but The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer has a gorgeous cover. The dark colors and the fact that the couple is in the water give the cover a mysterious tone, and I really like the way the title is layered over the people in such a cool font. The cover of No One Else Can Have You is unique and intriguing. The sweater material is such an interesting choice to put on a book cover, and it's so freaking awesome.

On all except The Diviners, I love the typography, and I am one of those people who is attracted to fonts (as weird as that may sound). So like for How to Love, I adore the font, and I feel like with a different font I may love it far less. I also love bright colors. So one of my favorite covers is Me and Earl and the Dying girl. I also really like This Is What Happy Looks like because of the bright yellow. I just think Jennifer E. Smith's books tend to have nice covers. I also tend to like covers that make sense to the book like Side Effects May Vary and Dorothy Must Die. And last but not least, I love the hardcover version of the Ruby Red trilogy. The colors are beautiful and the design is gorgeous, and the whole trilogy was partially a cover buy for me :)
